How to Install Windows XP on Acer Aspire 4710 with USB Floppy Disk

Step 1 : Debug the hard drive using start up disk win98

Plug in USB Floppy with start up disk win98 to system USB port.
Power on system and press “F2 key” to enter BIOS.
Set boot priority 1:USB FDD then restart.
Chose 2 then A:/type debug
Program terminate
Restart the system

Step 2 : How to make SATA driver for 4310 & 4710

1. Extract the zip file to floppy disk. Before you do that, please download the SATA Drivers here..

2. XP installation SOP:

Put the WinXP SP2 CD disc to DVD-ROM.
Plug in USB Floppy with AHCI driver disk to system USB port.
Power on system and press “F2 key” to enter BIOS.
Set boot priority 1:CD/DVD 2:IDE0 3:USB FDD then restart.
System starts installation.
Please press “F6 key” for several times while you see the “Press F6 if you…” is displayed below the screen.
After about 3 - 4 minute, the system appear “Windows Setup” screen.
Press “S key” then select “Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller (MOBILE ICH7MR/DH)”.
The system will load AHCI driver through the USB floppy disc, then press “Enter key”.
The system can identify the SATA HDD and start installation successfully, check the system without appear bluescreen.

HELP ME Please.. NTLDR Is Missing?!!

Below are the full error messages that may be seen when the computer is booting.

NTLDR is Missing Press any key to restart


Boot: Couldn’t find NTLDR

Please insert another disk
NTLDR is missing

Press Ctrl Alt Del to Restart

If Win XP won’t start it may be due to a damaged boot sector or a missing or corrupt ntldr or ntdetect.com files. To replace damaged ntldr and ntdetect.com you can copy fresh files from the XP CD using the COPY command. Boot with the XP CD and enter the Recovery Console.

The Recovery Console is a set of tools which run from a Command prompt. If your system is formatted as NTFS then these tools can help you manage the partition. To run the Recovery Console from CD boot with the Windows XP CD and select “R” at the Welcome Screen.

The screen will switch to black and you will be asked which installation to log on to. If you only have one installation you will press “1″. Remember that numlock is off at this time.

Next you’ll be prompted to enter your Admin password. By default it is created blank so just press Enter.

At the C:\Windows command prompt type “Help” for a list of commands you can use.

At the Command Prompt type the following (where “X” is your CD-Rom drive letter) allowing the files to overwrite the old files

COPY X:\i386\NTLDR C:

COPY X:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:

To repair a damaged Boot Sector at the command prompt type FIXBOOT and press Enter. Then answer “Y”

Type EXIT to quit the Recovery Console and restart your Computer. Good Luck!

This model of Presario has an audio controller that supports the high definition audio. You need to have Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio installed on the computer before installing the audio driver.

Melumpuhkan Socket Pooling

Pernahkah anda cuba untuk menjalankan lebih dari satu pelayan web IIS pada satu-satu masa, tetapi tidak berjaya? Masalah ini disebabkan oleh socket pooling, ciri-ciri dalam IIS 5 yang menyebabkan IIS untuk mengikat (bind) semua alamat IP yang telah diaturkan oleh pelayan, malahan juga pada komputer yang memiliki lebih dari satu network card. Tabiat ini bukan sahaja mengelakkan perisian HTTP yang lain untuk bekerjasama dengan IIS, tetapi boleh juga menyebabkan IIS ralat kepada klien. Mungkin anda boleh mengaturkan nombor port HTTP pada perisian HTTP yang satu lagi kepada bukan piawai (non-standard), seperti 8099, tetapi biasanya masih belum tentu lagi ia akan berfungsi kecuali jika klien yang menggunakan pelayar web juga menggunakan port 8099.

Lumpuhkan Socket Pooling di dalam IIS 5
Terdapat dua cara untuk melumpuhkan (disable) socket pooling dalam IIS 5. Pertama, anda boleh menyunting metabase dengan menggunakan utiliti MetaEdit (metaedit.exe). Gunakan MetaEdit untuk mencipta kekunci metabase baru yang dipanggil DisableSocketPooling di lokasi /LM/W2SVC dan buat peruntukkan kepadanya dengan nilai (1).

Cara kedua ialah dengan menggunakan skrip adsutil.vbs yang didatangkan di dalam C:\Inetpub\adminscripts. Taipkan arahan berikut:

Anda akan menerima mesej DisableSocketPooling: (BOOLEAN) True. Sekarang, hentikan servis IIS dengan menaip:

Kemudian, mulakan semula dengan menaip:

net start w3svc
